Project: Genie Garb
Inspiration I was inspired to create Genie Garb by the desire to make fashion more inclusive and accessible for everyone. I noticed that existing fashion apps often overlooked the needs of individuals with disabilities, and I wanted to change that. I wanted to create an app that not only provided personalized outfit suggestions but also catered to the diverse needs of users, including those with disabilities.
What I Learned During the development of Genie Garb, I learned a lot about the importance of inclusive design and accessibility in technology. I learned how to create a simplified user interface, incorporate visual supports, and offer customizable settings to cater to different user needs. I also learned about the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities when using technology and how technology can be used to overcome these challenges.
What is GenieGarb? Genie Garb is a fashion app that helps users create stylish outfits based on their preferences and needs. Users can input their age, budget, gender, occasion, and location, and the app will generate outfit suggestions tailored to their specifications.
Why GenieGarb? The app visualizes your style preferences, making it easy to find the perfect outfit with just a few prompts. With its cutting-edge technology and dedication to user satisfaction, Genie Garb sets a new standard for fashion apps, making style dreams a reality for everyone.
How I Built the Project I built Genie Garb using Partyrock Generative AI. I have used Claude LLM for Clothing Recommedation,Accessory Recommendation and Makeup Recommendation. I have used Stable Diffusion(3d Model) for Image generation.
Challenges Faced One of the biggest challenges I faced was designing the app to be inclusive and accessible for users with disabilities. I had to ensure that the app's interface was simple and easy to navigate, while also providing the necessary features for users with different needs. Another challenge was integrating visual supports and alternative communication methods into the app, as this required a deep understanding of the needs of users with disabilities.
Despite these challenges, I was able to overcome them through research, testing, and collaboration with individuals with disabilities. Their feedback and input were invaluable in shaping the app and making it truly inclusive.
