Genie - Genie's Magic - Desk Buddy

Inspiration

People in their daily lives face many decisions, and they are hesitant about the choices they make.

What it does

Our app, "Genie's Magic," helps these people solve their problems of indecisiveness by providing insight on what to do, with advice and realistic choice-making.

How we built it

When we initially started the project, our group brainstormed ideas of what app or game we should make, preferably ones we would be passionate about. We then mapped out individual screens after deciding on our final idea, the Genie app. Following the finalization of the accurate screens we would make, each group member started working on a specific screen. This included additional help from other members when needed.

Challenges we ran into

A severe challenge all of our group members faced was the exportation of screens in code.org. This made it difficult to contribute to other members' screens which reduced our efficiency.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A major accomplishment we are all proud of is how smoothly the app runs and the creativity. Without our collaborating group efforts, we would not have been able to pull off this remarkable project.

What we learned

From this programming experience including the coding and overall app design, we learned that teamwork is crucial when working on projects. With consistent teamwork, we progressed through the creation of the app with ease.

What's next for Genie's Magic

For upcoming updates on Genie's Magic, we would add many more insightful screens that contribute to the overall idea of our mascot, the Genie. Furthermore, current screens would be heavily improved with increased accuracy and thoughtfulness.
