Inspiration
Our own struggles as second-generation immigrant students inspired us to build this prototype.
What it does
It provides resources for users to successfully navigate through adulthood in America.
How we built it
We built it using Figma, and conducing user research through user testing, competitive analysis, low-fidelity wireframes, user personas, and user flows.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges we ran into were primarily time and feeling burnt out occasionally. The visual design took longest as we created all visuals within Figma.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We efficiently gathered data from on-site participants, mapped out our key findings, discovered patterns of common themes, and collaboration and reiterating on visuals until we felt our prototype satisfied our vision.
What we learned
We learned that it's important to set deadlines, and that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.
What's next for GenFriends
A full-working prototype with more features and additional features we planned on including, but couldn't due to time.
