Generative AI video models produce breathtaking 5-second shots. However, when an indie creator attempts a cohesive narrative scene, the workflow collapses:

  1. Character & Wardrobe Drift: Faces morph, clothes shift, and hair colors mutate across cuts.
  2. Edge Fringe Halos: Cutout characters superimposed onto backgrounds exhibit harsh white/green fringing, floating without ground contact.
  3. Runaway Token Costs & Latency: Iterating dialogue in cloud-only pipelines incurs expensive API calls and noticeable latency.
  4. Disconnected Audio: Sourcing background scores and synchronizing lipsync across third-party tools breaks filmmaking flow.
  5. Packaging Bottleneck: Manually transcoding and uploading to social platforms creates a fragmented headache.

GENESIS CINEMA was born to democratize blockbuster filmmaking through an ALL Google Sovereign Stack: Google Cloud Gemini 3.8, Gemma 4, MediaPipe, YouTube Music, Google Veo 3.1, Imagen 3, and the YouTube Data API.

🚀 What It Does

GENESIS CINEMA is a complete, multi-agent virtual production suite:

  • Zero-Drift 4-View Cast Vault: Slices 4-view sheets or normalizes 4 smartphone photos (Front/Right/Back/Left) of real actors/idols, applying Telea Inpaint Bleed Defringing to produce 32-bit transparent PNGs free of white halos.
  • On-Device Motion Capture & Acting Transfer: Ingests smartphone clips or YouTube excerpts, extracts 33-point 3D body landmarks using Google MediaPipe Pose, and uses on-device Google Gemma 4 (8.5ms latency, $0 token cost) to interpret dynamics into director stage directions and Google Veo 3.1 prompts.
  • ALL Google Sovereign Audio & Scoring: Directly integrates the YouTube Music API alongside Gemini Native Audio for movie scoring (Hans Zimmer-style pulse, Tokyo Neo Noir Lo-Fi, and cyberpunk synthesizers).
  • YouTube 1-Click Auto-Publisher & Imagen 3 Studio: Direct automated upload to YouTube Shorts (9:16 vertical) or YouTube 4K Premiere (16:9 widescreen) via YouTube Data API v3, paired with cinematic poster and thumbnail generation via Google Imagen 3.
  • GENESIS CINEMA LITE (15-Second Commercial & Virtual Try-On Console):

    • gemini-3.8-flash: Sub-second shot breakdown, prompt translation, and visual consistency audits.
  • Google MediaPipe Pose & OpenCV: Extracts 33 3D skeletal landmarks at 30fps completely on edge.
  • Google Gemma 4 On-Device Edge Co-Pilot (gemma4:e2b-it-qat): Synthesizes rapid dialogue, stage directions, and self-governing code audits locally via Ollama with zero token costs and 8.5ms latency.
  • YouTube Music & Gemini Native Audio: Synchronizes scoring with weather, speech pacing, and camera movements.
  • YouTube Data API v3 & Google Imagen 3: 1-click video publishing with auto-generated metadata and cinematic cover posters.
  • Replit Developer Platform: Containerized with .replit and replit.nix for instant 1-click cloud reproducibility.

🧗 Challenges We Ran Into

  1. Sub-Pixel Ground Contact: Cutout actors appeared to float above pavements. Solved via sub-pixel pivot calculation paired with dual-ellipse contact drop shadows and ambient occlusion.
  2. Zero-Token Pre-Production: Cloud API round-trips for script iterations were costly. Integrating local Google Gemma 4 reduced stage direction latency to under 9ms at zero cost.
  3. Autonomous Self-Development Without Drift: Enabling the system to build its own lightweight studio edition (cinema_lite.html) during human developer absence required strict AST self-healing validation.

🏆 Accomplishments That We're Proud Of

  • Autonomous 4-Hour Zero-Human Development: While human developers were offline for 4 hours, GENESIS autonomously analyzed hackathon rubrics, synthesized a standalone web edition (GENESIS CINEMA LITE), auto-generated unit tests, and executed STDP synaptic consolidation.
  • 21/21 Unit Tests (100% Pass) across all motion capture, matting, cinema lite, and server API pipelines.
  • Sub-9ms Edge Inference: Gemma 4 delivers production-grade script directions with zero cloud token consumption.
  • Zero-Drift Continuity: Complete preservation of facial geometry, clothing details, and rim lighting across 4 orthogonal camera angles.
