As a fan of DeFi, I'd always wanted to build something that anyone can use and free from the control of one man
What it does
Generifi is a simple defi dApp that lets ETH holders provide liquidity with their idle coins and earn an $ERN token that can be redeemed for supported coins or tokens anytime. This let's investors maximize the returns on their investments making use of their idle coin.
How we built it
Generifi was built to reduce risk as much as possible. It has a smart contract that handles the financial aspect and a frontend to interact with it. It went through an ideation phase, then I proceeded to create the smart contract using Solidity language. The frontend was built with NextJs frameworks, Typescript, Reactjs and Tailwindcss.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge was smart contract deployment. Some logical bugs delay the deployment
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am very proud to be able to deploy the project live on the Lisk testnet.
What we learned
I learned how to manage time, gained more insight into Lisk technology, and gained a better understanding of Layer2 tech.
What's next for Generic Finance (Geenrifi)
I am continuing this project after the hackathon and live. I am currently getting more team members to give their support.
