Inspiration

One of us never knows what he wants to eat, we wanted to find a way to solve his indecisiveness.

What it does

Webapp that generates a weekly menu calendar by using the user's preferences. It provides an overall perspective on what you could eat by giving the corresponding step-by-step recipe.

Problem / solution statement

Inspiration and budget planning solution for people to enhance their culinary skills, save money and diversify their diet.

How we built it

We used Ruby on rails to create an interface exploiting the recipe API from Spoonacular.

Challenges we ran into

Creating a unique calendar interface which detaches itself form the standard table view.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The amount of work done by one single developper in a week-end despite the inexperience.

What we learned

Working as a team and coordinating all the different ideas towards one objective : developing a webapp

What's next for GenerEat

Addressing and develop the many features we thought of but weren't able to integrate due to lack of time.
