Inspiration

New York Life Insurance is committed to innovative learning experiences. Our AR work is reminiscent of room-scale VR but without headsets. AR tech offers a wide, richer, and immersive educational approach, igniting learner imagination.

What It Does

We've transformed the New York Life office entryways into interactive, AR-powered learning zones. Inspired by "The Game of LIFE," this immersive experience covers entire streets and buildings, blending education with entertainment.

How We Built It

Developed primarily using Adobe Aero, our project integrates Photoshop image work, Articulate AI audio generation, Premiere audio editing, ChatGPT assisted scripting, Dall-E 3 image generation, and Adobe Aero 3D models and Vectary 3D models prep. The intuitive interface of Aero and Google's Geospatial component facilitated a seamless process.

Challenges and Solutions

A small challenge was audio playback in the large-scale settings. We solved this by switching to ambient sound, realizing spatial audio limitations, and ensuring audio clarity across distances.

Proud Achievements

We've evolved traditional learning maps into AR experiences, thanks to our team's creativity and New York Life's supportive environment. This project stands as a testament to our innovative approach in corporate learning.

Lessons Learned

Scale matters. When sizing objects in physical space it is essential to visit and test and adjust if you want good sight lines and a tight fit for a more impressive augment. Scale related to sound is key also. In larger spaces, if you cant hear sound you may be too far away, go ambient.

What's Next

Our "AR Learning Zone" is in the pilot phase, aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills training across corporate and national offices. Future plans include expanding to in-person classroom and self-study AR learning applications.
