Inspiration
I wanted to apply computational methods to gene expression in a brain cancer (glioblastoma multiforme, GBM) that has very poor prognostics. The patient outcome for this cancer has not improved significantly based on literature for the past few decades.
What it does
Predicts the survival status (alive vs dead) of a patient diagnosed with GBM at a particular time point
How I built it
Sweat, tears, caffeine, desperation.
Challenges I ran into
Most of my team dipped at 6 PM, so I had to work on the data processing mostly alone.

Creating a gene signature based on the individual gene data for a more comprehensive prognostic tool.
