Inspiration
What about a fresh idea for a Hackathon project submission? Instead of the usual AI-powered interactive storytelling apps or emotional support chatbots, why not flip the script? How about a project that allows participants and judges to quickly analyze submissions, offering feedback and suggestions on the idea's uniqueness, how to refine the elevator pitch, and how well it aligns with the hackathon's theme?
What it does
"Gemini's Mirror" is a web-based tool that helps participants and judges efficiently evaluate submissions based on customizable criteria, refining elevator pitches and aligning ideas with hackathon themes. You provide the URL to the project page, and Gemini's Mirror generates instant, detailed feedback, and you can even engage in a chat session so you can discuss the feedback further and take your project to the next level!
How we built it
Our project combines the capabilities of Python 3, Streamlit, and the Google Gemini 1.5 API (via Google AI Studio), with a nod to nerd humor for a touch of light-heartedness.
Future improvements: Multimodal AI and YouTube
Incorporating multimodal AI capabilities into "Gemini's Mirror" could open up exciting possibilities for enhancing the evaluation process. One intriguing feature to consider is the ability to transcribe YouTube videos of project pitches and analyze them alongside textual descriptions. By leveraging both audio and visual cues, this multimodal approach could provide a more comprehensive understanding of each project, capturing nuances that may not be evident from text alone. However, it's important to note that accessing and analyzing YouTube videos may currently pose challenges due to restrictions on data privacy and API access. While this feature holds promise for enriching the feedback generation process, careful consideration of access restrictions and ethical implications is crucial before implementation.
