🌾 Inspiration

Farmers often make critical decisions with incomplete or delayed information — whether it’s identifying a crop disease, deciding when to sell produce, or understanding an animal health issue. Most existing tools are fragmented, text-heavy, and not designed for real field conditions, low bandwidth, or voice-first usage.

We were inspired to build Farmer’s Swag after observing how farmers rely on phone calls, guesswork, and delayed expert access, especially during emergencies. We wanted to create a single, intelligent, voice-first assistant that feels as natural as talking to a human — powered by Gemini — and works across crops, markets, and livestock.

Farmer’s Swag is an AI-powered, voice-first Progressive Web App that helps farmers:

Frontend: React-based Progressive Web App (PWA) Styling: Tailwind CSS with a clean, farm-friendly UI AI Engine: Google Gemini (multimodal + live voice)

Voice System:

Recorder-style voice input (record / pause / play) Fast speech-to-text Real-time, interruptible voice responses (Gemini-app-like)

Context Awareness:

Module-aware (CropCare / Market / Animal Care) Location, weather, diagnosis, and user inputs

Localization:

India & USA support Hindi-first, farmer-friendly language for Indian users

Offline Support:

Health calendars and past results stored locally We designed the system so Gemini is core infrastructure, not an add-on.
