Inspiration

I was thinking about how to enjoy making financial tracker/analysis and stumble upon the idea of AI-driven journal creator.

What it does

It inputs texts, photos, and many more just like you post on social media BUT that is not the only thing it does. It also generates a nice looking customizable journal. In addition, I am thinking of stepping it up further by implementing other features. One of them is expense tracker. If you want to Analyze your financial while having fun, this project is definitely your out.

note: Financial tracker is the only one I will explore here but keep in mind many more can be explore further

How we built it

Start with AI Studio, make some prompts, and polish it a little bit with programming skill.

Challenges we ran into

I am not a very experienced programmer, especially, when it comes to working with an app so this app depends a lot Gemini. I am only a prompter and code editor.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the idea that making diary or journal is not a hassle anymore but make it fun and useful instead.

Plus, I am proud of the idea of making a canvas-like fully customizable diary or life journal. Moreover, using AI to analyze those inputs(data) and turn it into something useful, for example, a financial tracker.

What we learned

I learned that AI cannot help us code fully. We have to make multiple of very polished prompts in order to do some task which is not even hard for human to fix.

I learned idea cannot be accomplished easily but founding it and further develop it is the key to success.

What's next for Gemini Life Journal

If this project is chosen to develop further with Google. I strongly plan to make other analysis using the user inputs.

Make the program more convenient, for instance, instead of making user import the photos themselves, sync the app with Google Photos so that it does not have to be a hassle to keep making the journal alone. Use AI to be the journal guidance and make sure user has full customizable canvas for them to play with.
