Inspiration

Inspired by generative AI and curious about the ease of using gemini api in android studio.

What it does

It is able to create response based on the user question input.

How we built it

I built it by making adjustments to mainly an xml file for the interface layout. This is followed by adding the functionalities of the respective layout components as well as the api link in the main activity kotlin file.

Challenges we ran into

As this is the first time I am working with APIs in general, I did ran into some minor issues when attempting to configure the API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

While this is the first time working with the API, I am proud to say that I was able to complete an application even thought I only have a few days to work on it.

What we learned

I have learnt to use gemini in future smart apps and I hope to come up with more interesting products using it in the future.

What's next for Gemini Exploration

I wish to create an application where it is able to detect the action of the elderly through a camera and consolidate a list of tasks that were performed by the elderly in a day so that family members will have better awareness of the family lifestyle.
