We wanted to create a smart styling assistant that helps users choose the perfect streetwear and formal outfits based on modern trends.
What it does
The assistant analyzes clothing items and style preferences to suggest minimalist, high-impact outfit combinations. It provides detailed recommendations focusing on textures, layering, and clean looks.
How we built it
It is designed to use the Gemini API and Google AI Studio to process user style queries and deliver personalized fashion recommendations.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating the API key correctly and setting up the system instructions on a mobile browser required careful configuration, but we successfully resolved it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting the Gemini 1.5 Flash model fully configured with custom system instructions to behave as a dedicated style expert.
What we learned
We learned how to prompt and structure system instructions in Google AI Studio to control AI behavior effectively.
What's next for Gemini AI Outfit & Style Smart Assistant
Connecting the backend API to a frontend UI and adding feature support for image uploads so users can get styling tips based on photos of their own clothes.
