Inspiration

Everybody needs help in their respective fields. For most college students, there is a lack of knowledge of online or offline events, which will make them do so. And, also to do such projects, finding teammates with the required skills with only access to a small number of fellow students is not that easy.

What it does

This platform will provide:

1. A community for students to interact with themselves and share their knowledge.
2. Everyone can upload details of any upcoming/ongoing tech events so that nobody will miss out.
3. Regular updates of new tech-related facts and news.
4. A dedicated TL; DR news section for the latest software-related news and updates.
5. People eager to team up can make clans and do projects.

How we built it

Possible ways is to build a platform on web or on Android/iOS. Final project shall use tech from the following :

1. React.js (for Frontend Platform)
2. Bootstrap (for CSS framework)
3. Flutter (if possible, for Android/iOS Application)
4. Firebase/MongoDB (for backend, authentication and database)
5. Python and Flask/Django for a more customized backend for services like web scraping.

What's next for GeekyOtters

Building the actual project, and scaling it to inculcate more and more communities across the country or even the world.
