Inspiration
We were inspired to create GearSwap by the need for a dedicated online marketplace for buying and selling hardware and tech-related gear.
What it does
GearSwap is an Android app that aims to let users search for, buy, and sell hardware and tech-related gear. It would include a search function, in-app messaging, and a community-driven rating system.
How we're building it
We're building GearSwap using Android Studio and Java. We're also utilizing various Android SDKs and APIs to implement features like messaging and location-based search.
Challenges we're facing
We're facing challenges in creating an intuitive user interface, ensuring security and privacy, and implementing best practices for encryption and authorization.
Accomplishments we're working towards
We're working towards building a functional app with a dedicated user base that provides a valuable service for the hardware and tech-related gear community.
What we're learning
Through building GearSwap, we're gaining experience in project management, collaboration, and Android app development.
