Inspiration

Being a mechanical engineer, this project felt like a great fit. I love programming, but this time I got to solely focus on designing mechanical systems.

What it does

It is a 4 in one: couch, table, storage space, and whiteboard.

Challenges we ran into

Brainstorming multi-functional furniture that fits GCCI’s collaboration and innovation theme, designing solutions to moving systems, designing easy to build and assemble parts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Finishing! Also I think it looks very nice.

What we learned

Things always take longer than anticipated. When I was almost finished I reflected on the project and decided it wasn't actually a great fit and decided to change it up into something I believe is nearly perfect.

What's next for GCCI multi-purpose furniture

I have the designs and it is almost ready to start building. I already researched hinges and slider drawers that I could use. If tasked with building it, I think I have a good design to work with.
