Inspiration
Running a small school or coaching center in India comes with a lot of administrative chaos. I noticed that teachers and administrators spend more time managing paper receipts, tracking unpaid fees, and making announcements than actually teaching.
This inspired me to build the Gauravdevlop.in ecosystem. My core vision is "Zero Learning Loss" and zero administrative friction. While Gauravdevlop.in handles the academic side with School, Teacher, and Student dashboards (for homework and learning videos), I needed a dedicated, lightweight tool for the operational side. That’s how Gosciora was born—a straightforward app focused purely on solving the immediate headache of fee management and fast communication for local educational institutes.
What it does
Currently, Gosciora is a functional mobile dashboard designed for institute admins (like coaching centers). As seen in our current build, it provides:
- Instant Overview: A quick look at active enrollments and pending/unpaid fees.
- Fee Management: A simple module to track who has paid and who hasn't, reducing manual errors.
- Quick Actions: Easy options for "New Admissions," sending a "Broadcast Notice" to all students, and securing data with "Drive Backup."
Very soon, Gosciora will be directly linked and integrated into the main gauravdevlop.in website, completing the ecosystem by connecting the administrative app with the academic web dashboards.
How we built it
To ensure Gosciora is accessible on basic smartphones—which is crucial for local coaching centers in India—we focused on a clean, lightweight mobile framework.
- We prioritized a very simple UI (as shown in our screenshots) so that any teacher or admin can use it without prior training.
- The backend is being designed to seamlessly connect with the broader
gauravdevlop.indatabase, ensuring that when a student is admitted via Gosciora, their academic profile is automatically generated on the main website's Student Dashboard.
Challenges we ran into
- Work in Progress: The biggest challenge right now is time. I want to be completely honest with the judges: the ecosystem is not fully completed yet. Building the main web dashboards (School/Teacher/Student) while simultaneously perfecting the Gosciora mobile app is a heavy lift for a solo developer.
- VR Transition: Participating in a Meta VR Hackathon with an administrative app is challenging. Our current build is strictly 2D/Mobile. The challenge lies in conceptualizing how backend data management (like Gosciora) can eventually support an immersive VR educational environment where administrative tasks don't break the virtual experience.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of not building vaporware. Instead of making fake promises, I have built a working, practical dashboard (Gosciora) that solves a real problem right now—fee tracking for local coaching centers. I am proud that the foundational architecture is being laid down properly before we jump into complex 3D integrations.
What we learned (and our VR Vision)
Through this process, I’ve learned that a solid backend is the prerequisite for any future technology, including VR. Why are we in a VR hackathon? Because our future vision for Gauravdevlop and Gosciora extends into the metaverse. While Gosciora handles fees today, tomorrow we envision integrating the Meta Quest SDK so that the academic side of our dashboards (the learning videos and homework) can be experienced in a virtual 3D classroom. By establishing a strong, working foundation now, we are preparing our platform to seamlessly support immersive VR education in the future.
