Inspiration

Mental health issue has been concerns for many people. During the pandemic, this issue has risen more since people have to isolate and stay at home to avoid covid. Thus, the number of people who have depression and mental illnesses has increased more.

Further, according to Stated on Mental Health in America, 13.4 % of the U.S population are Black and African Americans. Out of that number, 16% of them are having mental illness. Thus, we want to build a webapp that can address this issue and help people with mental illness seek treatment faster and more effectively.

What it does

Our webapp helps people, especially Black and African Americans, who have mental illness, connect and get right consultation with therapists and doctors for treatment.

Users can chat with doctors online to diagnose their mental issues.
We provide health protection and pharmacy services to our patients.- we have a chatbot that was developed in Google Cloud that can educate people about mental illness. People can talk into the mic and the chatbot will reply back in text.
We also have a calendar for users to schedule their appointments with doctors.- Users can provide their contact information on the contact page.- Users can send text messages to our Twilio number. The chatbot will ask and record customers' contact information and alert our customer representatives for further assistance.

How we built it

We build out chatbot in Google Cloud, that chat bot can interpret people voice and answer questions in text.
We built a Twilio chatbot with our Twilio mobile phone
We built our site with HTML, Javascript, and CSS

Challenges we ran into

We are in different time zones and we don't have time to decide the theme to work on. We have limited time to finish the work.
We have members who are first time hackers but the members were able to pull it through. We were able to collaborate for the ideas and work.
