Inspiration

I saw Canvas get hacked and realized the world is unsecure they stole 270 million peoples info.

What it does

How we built it

I built it using Typescript creating code that analyzes the text of emails along with checking if they are EDUs or they have been mentioned recently being hacked.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting to mail API's needs the website to be deployed and it is a security risk but the idea itself has huge potential.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It does a good job of simply telling the user how likely it is to be malicious and it is quite accurate, also the fact that is takes online news and modifies it's opinion based off that.

What we learned

I learned a lot about how to approach building projects and that a lot of research and troubleshooting goes into it.

What's next for gatekeeper unhacked

The next portion would be to implement it into some sort of extension that is way easier to use for the average joe.
