Gategroup proposal Reto 3 Punto 2

Inspiration

The idea came from seeing how hard it can be to keep track of what employees are doing and how the trolleys are prepared for each flight, we wanted to make something that helps everyone see progress, learn, and know what needs to be done all in one place, the goal was to make the process easier and more organized for both the workers and supervisors

What it does

The "app" shows the progress of each employee, gives access to tutorials or training, and also keeps track of what’s inside the trolleys for each flight, it helps make sure that everything matches what each airline asks for, it also shows flight assignments so everyone knows what they’re working on.

How we built it

We made the design in Figma first, we planned how we wanted the screens to look and what information each one should show. Then we built the prototype step by step starting with simple wireframes and later adding colors, icons, and buttons, we focused on making it clear, easy to read, and useful for people who work in catering every day.

Challenges we ran into

At first, it was hard to decide how to show the progress of each employee in a simple way, we also struggled a bit with how to organize all the information about trolleys and flights without making it look messy finding a design that looked good but was still practical took some time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud that the design looks clean and easy to understand. It connects everything employee progress, tutorials, trolleys, and flights in one place, it’s something that could really be used in real operations, not just as an idea.

What we learned

We learned how important it is to organize information clearly and think about the people who will actually use the app. We also improved our skills in Figma using components, layouts, and interactive prototypes, mostly, we learned that even a simple design can solve real problems if it’s made with users in mind.

What's next for Gategroup proposal Reto 3 Punto 2

Next we’d like to turn the design into a working app, maybe using React or Flutter we also want to add more features like analytics to see performance over time, and test it with real catering staff to get feedback and make it better.
