GASIFICATION

  The Mama Africa Pendo (MAP) students presenting the Gasification Project.

INSPIRATION

We were inspired to execute this project by the dire need the people within the vicinity had of basic amenities such as electricity and gas for cooking.

WHAT IT DOES

The Gasifier conforms both organic and fine inorganic matter into Synthesis Gas (SynGas). This is then packaged and commercialized and can be used domestically.

HOW WE BUILT IT

The Gasifier itself hasn't been built physically due to lack of funds, but has been well represented theoretically.

CHALLENGES WE RAN INTO

We didn't have the necessary resources to build the apparatus.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS WE'RE PROUD OF

We're proud to have generated a project that would hopefully change the lives of the people of Mathare, and Kenya in general, exponentially.

WHAT WE LEARNED

We learnt to be disciplined, consistent and passionate. This enabled is to realize all out achievements.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR GASIFICATION

For it to be commercialized and popularized and impact as many lives as possible.
