Inspiration
Our inspiration was that we noticed how gas prices were severely inflated.
What it does
The project uses a model trained with machine learning and uses past data of crude oil production and prices to accurately predict future prices.
How we built it
Using a front-end and back-end system to make a working program that predicts future prices based on past trends.
Challenges we ran into
Learning how to use software we were unfamiliar with and debugging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to make a machine learning model that provides accurate results.
What we learned
We learned how to efficiently incorporate machine learning into a functioning app.
What's next for Gas Price Projection Estimator
Add more data sets to be able to predict gas prices for other locations and refine our machine learning model for more accurate predictions.
