Inspiration
This was my first hackathon/blockchain project, so I aimed to finish a minimum viable product(MVP). I tried using most of what I learned from Consensys Bootcamp and Chainlink Hackathon sessions. Inspirations included: SimpleStorage.sol, Craigslist, and peer-to-peer file sharing.
What it does
It stores texts on Ethereum using a simple front end.
How we built it
By following tutorials, looking at other projects, and searching for answers online and in discord chats.
Challenges we ran into
Staying focused on one thing while many rabbit holes of topics presented themselves was definitely challenging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Proud that I overcame distractions and dismay that comes with learning multiple new tech stacks at once to have a MVP that I can submit.
What we learned
I learned that there's so much more to learn about web3 development and that I better hurry.
What's next for Garyslist
Deploying it to zkSync 2.0, when it's available, so it becomes viable to store simple texts on Ethereum without paying high gas fees.
