Inspiration
Every week, I have to throw away all my trash, but I always struggle to properly sort everything by waste categories. I figured that there are probably tons of people out there with the same problem, so I decided to create a webpage that helps people sort all their garbage.
What it does
The website gives you a list of potential items you would want to throw away and tells you what type of disposal they belong in.
How we built it
I used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
I was trying to make a responsive web page. I struggled with making the web page work properly on both a larger monitor and a smaller laptop.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is my first hackathon so I'm really proud that I managed to come up with an idea and execute it. I was successfully able to create a responsive page that works on both big and small screens.
What we learned
I learned that when making a webpage, I should start coding for a small screen rather than starting with a large screen.
