Inspiration

I made this game so that kids can learn how to pick up the trash/waste and collect them and throw them in the trash can. This game will help them to learn about the real world e-waste problem, plus they can have fun playing this game.

What it does

This game is about to pick up trash from the road or from outside and collect them and throw them in the trash can. The game has 2 characters, boy and girl. The player has to collect the trash and e-waste while avoiding the barrels. Each player has 3 lives and at last the score will be calculated.

How we built it

We have used Python as a programming language. The for the framework, I have used pygame. We only have used basics of pygame, so anyone can understand it.

Challenges we ran into

There were various challenges.

  • Like the random generation is e-waste and trash.
  • How to fit the layout and players in it
  • Adding various moves for the players for multiple characters
  • Synchronization of the song in the game

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of my self that I have build this game under 6hr. And I am a beginner in pygames. So I am kind a happy to see my result which this game has shown me. I hope to grow in the future and make more amazing games like this in the future.

What we learned

I have learned the intermediate python topics like nested functions, etc. I have also learned about the pygame framework. Which is just amazing to make games in python. Pygames has taught me many things and incredible concepts which we're using in making games.

What's next for Trash The Junk(Garbage game for kids)

In the future, I want to improve the UI of the game and publish it on internet.
