GANPI

Inspiration!!! We wanted to create an AI assistant that feels natural, fast, and genuinely helpful. Our goal was to make interactions with Gemini’s API simple and accessible while keeping the interface clean and efficient. What it does? GANPI is an intelligent assistant platform that lets users generate code, get explanations, and solve problems quickly through a smooth web interface powered by Gemini. How we built it? We built GANPI using Next.js for the frontend, integrated Gemini’s API for AI capabilities, and deployed it through Vercel for fast and reliable hosting. Challenges we ran into??? We ran into API rate limit constraints, build errors during deployment, and some setup complexities when structuring the project. Overcoming these taught us how to debug and streamline efficiently. Accomplishments that we're proud of??? We’re proud of developing a functional and clean AI assistant in a short amount of time, with smooth Gemini integration and a solid technical foundation ready for future features. What we learned?! We learned how to integrate large language models through APIs, deploy production-ready Next.js apps, and handle real-world debugging scenarios. We also improved our team workflow and project structure practices. What's next for GANPI?! Next, we plan to add voice recognition so users can interact naturally using speech, and historical tracking to let users revisit past interactions, making GANPI smarter and more personalized over time.
