Inspiration

We were having trouble coming up with ideas, we all like video games, we were going to make a game but couldn't come up with ideas for games to make. Then we got the idea to make a website that recommends games.

What it does

Our project was supposed to be a website that surveys a user asking them 4 questions about their preferences on video games and uses the IGDB (Internet Game Database) API to return a list of games that match up with the survey questions. The questions include their favorite genres, their age, the platform they wanted to play on, and if they preferred multiplayer or singleplayer games.

How we built it

We used ReactJS for frontend and Flask/Python for backend

Challenges we ran into

The main problem we ran into with the frontend is getting the questions and buttons to disappear and move on to the next question. We weren't able to figure out how to fix this problem so our project is not functional. We also had trouble getting the backend to work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of all the learning we did at GrizzHacks6. Before the hackathon none of us knew how ReactJS or Flask worked, and it was really fun learning how to use it.
