Inspiration
Wildlife is facing serious threats, but many people only learn about endangered animals through facts and statistics. We wanted to make animal education more emotional, interactive, and memorable by turning it into a game.
What it does
Wild Files is an educational game where players explore different animals, their habitats, and the dangers they face. Each animal can become its own playable “file,” with facts, challenges, and missions that help players understand how to protect them.
How we built it
We designed Wild Files to be simple, flexible, and expandable. The game structure allows us to add new animals easily by creating new content around their habitat, threats, behaviors, and conservation needs.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge was making the game educational without making it feel like a textbook. We also had to think about how to design the game so it could scale beyond one animal and support many species in the future.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that Wild Files combines learning with play in a way that can grow over time. Instead of building a one-time game, we created a concept that can become a larger platform for animal awareness.
What we learned
We learned how powerful games can be as a tool for education and empathy. We also learned that designing for future expansion from the start makes the project much stronger.
What's next for Wild Files
Next, we want to add more animals, more missions, and richer stories. Our goal is to make Wild Files a growing collection of interactive animal adventures that helps players care more deeply about wildlife and take action to protect it.
