Inspiration 🧠

When we joined this hackathon we had an idea of what we had to build, we wanted to make a platform dedicated to gamers with many helpful features. We all know platforms where gamers can go live and share their content but that's not enough, so we built GamerX - An ultimate platform for gamers...

What it does 🎮

GamerX is a platform for gamers to stream their gaming content and earn TFUEL tokens, launch their own NFT collections and personalized NFTs, find gaming-related jobs or get sponsorships from well-known companies, connect with other gamers, and many more features.

GamerX Features 🔥

GamerX has a lot of features that make it the ultimate platform for gamers to choose from.

Upload Videos: On GamerX gamers can upload and share their content with their fans/followers and generate revenue by getting tips in TFUEL tokens. Click here to visit the video section on GamerX.

Go Live: Gamers can also go live on our platform and stream their gameplay, interact with their followers, and earn TFUEL tokens as super chats.

Create NFTs: Gamers can launch their official NFTs on GamerX and get royalties as well on secondary sales, also they can launch their own NFT collections. Click here to view the minted NFTs on our platform.

How we built it 🔧

We have built GamerX with a production perspective and long-term roadmap, we are using next js for the front end, a zk database called polybase for storing gamer's data, solidity for smart contracts on theta chain, and theta video API for storing video data. Every user on GamerX can create multiple NFT collections where they can sell their own NFTs or gaming accounts/game skins as NFTs, etc. For every different NFT collection, a separate smart contract is deployed on theta blockchain. Our main focus while developing GamerX was an easy UI/UX for gamers to interact so we chose our tech stack very wisely to keep our UX smooth and flexible for new features any time ahead.

Challenges we ran into 💪

When we started working on GamerX we initially began with writing smart contracts for NFTs and NFT collections, we faced a few challenges when we were trying to make the minting of NFTs from their respective NFT collections dynamically via frontend as well. We have also integrated live streaming functionality on GamerX where we have used theta live stream platform theta edge node. Gamers can quickly go live within 3 steps on GamerX.

Accomplishments that we're proud of 😎

We are proud that within a few weeks, we managed to build a full fledge platform for gamers that we planned to make so. We have created a perfect modal with a win-win situation for gamers, brands/employers, and us as a platform. Gamers can earn by uploading their content, streaming their gameplay, launching their NFT collections, collaborating with brands, etc. GamerX makes revenue every time there is a successful NFT sale, super chat on live streams and more sources will be planned soon. Making our platform profitable is an important task for the long-term growth of GamerX.

What we learned

We have learned a lot of stuff by participating in this hackathon, we have learned a lot about NFTs, learned how to use and integrate with theta-video-API, we have integrated real-time notifications and chat systems using push protocol, and many many things.

What's next for GamerX - A platform for gamers ⏱

Our goal is to make GamerX Linkedin for gamers, till the end of Q3 2023 we want to launch GamerX on theta mainnet and make GamerX the best platform for gamers/gaming influencers and content creators.
