Inspiration
Our inspiration stemmed from the boredom and mundaneness that life brings when becoming an adult. Sometimes, you don't want to pick up that phone call. Instead, you want to play games. Our product, the GameMAN, lets you do exactly that. Want to play on your corporate monitor? You can! Want to play on the meeting room TV? You can!!! GameMAN is here to make your mundane life happy.
What it does
GameMAN converts your average telephone call into an incredibly fun gaming experience. Rather than picking up the phone to talk to someone, you pick it up as a controller for the super awesome GameMAN console.
How we built it
We built the GameMAN through months of planning on patenting. Many 3D printers were harmed in the process of making this product. However, no human testing was involved. We used SOLIDWORKS for modeling, 3D printers for printing the models, a Raspberry Pi 5 to run the games and an arduino UNO board to get controller inputs.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into are time-constraints for printing, figuring out how to map inputs to the Raspberry Pi, converting analog signals to digital outputs, and heating issues.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our sleek design and creative take on the theme "Make It Fun" is something to be proud of. We are incredibly happy with the product that we have to show.
What we learned
We learned that sometimes, aiding your mental health is more important than your work-life responsibilities... sometimes, you just need a break.
What's next for GameMAN
Next up, we are releasing our new hit product "LameBox 360", for when your significant other is being lame, and you need a break.
