Inspiration The gaming industry offers countless options, making it challenging to find the right game based on your mood and goals. Some games, like Blue Whale and Mariam, have tragically harmed hundreds of children due to their suicidal themes. However, games can also be a great way to learn new languages and skills, improve reflexes (e.g., through shooting games), and enhance strategic thinking (e.g., through chess). These factors inspired us to create a project for this vast industry. What It Does The game-recommender suggests games based on your mood and goals while ensuring safety, especially for children, in its recommendations. How We Built It We used a dataset of games and manipulated it using Jupyter Notebook and Python libraries. Challenges We Ran Into Team management and integrating tasks were significant challenges. Accomplishments That We're Proud Of We’re proud of the impact our bot will have by ensuring safe game recommendations for kids and offering personalized game options. What We Learned We gained skills in networking and data manipulation. What's Next for Game-Recommender We aim to make it more interactive, responsive, and user-friendly while improving recommendation accuracy. We also plan to add a history feature to save past recommendations, avoid repeating games, and correct existing mistakes.
