I strongly believe that a hands-on approach to learning is the most effective and memorable, so I always endeavor to undertake a project to strengthen my knowledge whenever I learn a new technology. This project helped to improve my knowledge of the JavaScript language. I was inspired to do this upon discovering the zero-player game made by John Horton Conway, called "Game of Life" which works on just 4 simple rules, yet yields really interesting results.
