Inspiration

Based upon the first proposed choice and the third choice offered, we were also in the progress of creating another game so the idea of combining teaching people about renewables and make it into a game came pretty fast into our minds.

What it does

This is a game based around a procedurally generated planet, on this planet, you have to manage your energy production/consumption. This is aimed at educating people about the different pro/cons of different energy generation.

How we built it

ThreeJS, using vscode and Vite.

Challenges we ran into

Procedual generation, collision, vertices being whack, vertices.color not coloring, gltf animations not working properly.

How to generate planets using noise and manipulating vertices of BufferGeometries

What's next for Game of Globe

Adding a more extensible api for adding other types energy generation, finish the energy generation feature, nature and many more.
