Inspiration
We were inspired by many big trackers such as TRN, but we noticed that there was not one specifically for High School Esports.
What it does
It displays the different team members and their personal stats.
How we built it
We used js, CSS, and HTML to create a website, hosted on Heroku (using Github). We used TRN's and used the info found on the High School Esports website to find team members etc.
Challenges we ran into
At first, we wanted to use TRN's API but we could not get an API key within time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the teamwork we did, we have not had the chance to work as a team since the beginning of COVID-19. So getting back after a while was fun!
What we learned
We learned the difficulties of finding niche info on the internet. High School Esports is not very public so it was more difficult than we expected
What's next for Game Lurker
We would like to switch to Riots API. We also hope to expand it to more teams, but in the set time frame there were only so many we could get to.
