Aims to analyze the game industry trends during the last 3 decades. Specifically, we label the most popular developers and games. In addition to the relation between critic scores and total selling.

Inspiration

For inspiration, the first thing that comes to mind is the development company that deserves nostalgia under the theme of nostalgic games. So we used Python to sort out the developer with the largest market share. We also want to know the impact of media scores on games. At the same time, we want to analyze the changes in the game market in the last three decades from a macro perspective. In this case, we can compare specific memories and understand the development process of nostalgia games and the shining points in people's memories.

What it does

It analyzes the relationship between media Critic Scores and game sales. At the same time, it shows the changes in the game market of 1990s 21st. It also shows the distribution and concentration of game scores. It also lists the market share of each developer, showing who comes first. It also provides a breakdown of sales of FPS games and Soccer games by region.

How we built it

After analyzing the data and asking questions, we use Python to first summarize the data and sort out the same type of data for addition, subtraction, or comparison. Finally, the chart is created by the method of Python.

Challenges we ran into

The number one problem we face is how to delete the missing information. After missing a column of information, we cannot easily sort it out. At the same time, we are faced with getting charts that are not as expected. We tried to adjust and fit the answer.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're very proud of the fact that we came up with the data and the graph and solved the problem. We managed to solve four problems. And found some important information.

What we learned

We learned how to take a problem from a diagram and set a plan for not solving it. You learned how to use CVS files in Python and how to make visualization data in Python. We learned about teamwork and division of labor.

What's Next for Game Industry Analysis

The next step in industry analysis is to compare the growth rate of the PC or network market. At the same time, we will also pay attention to the change in the proportion of console sales.
