Inspiration
Gambling addiction and not knowing where to go.
What it does
Instead of simply using Google Maps to get from point A to B, now you can add some flair. By using Gamble Maps(WIP), you can now have fun deciding if you get to go to your destination or not! You have to play blackjack to find the most accurate route to your destination now. If you lose to the house, your destination is moved.
How we built it
Using basic HTML, CSS, and JS. Along with an attempt to use the Google Maps API.
Challenges we ran into
Google Maps API connection issues. Even after getting the site and the API to connect, the routes did not show up on the map. And blackjack bugging out.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We set up the Google Maps API to function mostly.
What we learned
Refreshed on JavaScript and learned how to connect API's (although insecurely). And that Google Maps API is annoying to use.
What's next for Gamble Maps
Successfully integrating the Google Maps API into the site, allowing for a new, fun way to decide your destination and route.
