Inspiration

One of my favorite superhero movies is The Guardians of the Galaxy. I made this graphic with Three.js inspired by this movie.

What it does

This is a simple graphic that shows the galaxy having a solar system where guardians of the galaxy team are likely to live. You can explore space by freely moving the screen, and can also control it with the arrow keys. If you zoom in close to the Earth, you can see the atmosphere on the Earth's surface.

How we built it

I built this with three.js which is a Javascript API.

Challenges we ran into

Implementing a moving planet and shader coding are a challenge for me.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I successfully implemented the moving planet and little stars made with a shader. Also, background music can be played.

What we learned

How to use three.js skillfully.

What's next for galaxy

I can add more shaded stars or add extra planets. I also can add the models like characters from the movie with Blender.
