Galactic Timeclock

A clock that tries to emphasize the size of the galaxy - and the insignificance of us. It uses the Earth's position in the galaxy and the number of rotations to show and tell 'where' we are timewise.

Inspiration

What inspired me was both the name and theme of the hackathon, as well as my personal love of anything space-related. Showing the scale of just our own galaxy in an easily digestible form seemed like an interesting challenge.

What it does

Shows the Earth rotating around the galactic center, with the current 'time' in rotations and the local galactic neighborhood.
