GAJ - platform to raise awareness about Elephants, the majestic and wise creatures on earth. We also connect our users with Elephant Conservation Initiatives worldwide. App built with just one prompt.

Inspiration

GAJ - Guardian Angels for Jumbos. The name is derived from the Sanskrit word, Gaj meaning 'Majestic Elephant' Thank you, Team Bolt, for conducting this hackathon. It gave me a great opportunity to build my dream idea about Elephant Conservation.

What it does

GAJ connects users with several Elephant Conservation Initiatives worldwide. When it comes to Elephant conservation, it can be quite hard to connect with Supporters and have all the references in one place. GAJ makes it easy! Learn about the magnificent living beings and their thankless contributions to making our world a better place. The mobile-first approach to our platform makes it accessible for a wider range of Elephant-lovers to connect and to support this noble cause. Love Elephants with GAJ!

How we built it

GAJ is entirely built with Bolt with just 1 prompt. Here is the prompt: Gaj is the name of the mobile app and the main goal is elephant conservation. The app should have information about elephants including their habitat, diet, and the regions they live across the world. The app should have a page that contains links to various elephant conservation initiatives.

Challenges we ran into

Building with Bolt was a seamless experience. The UI suggestions were neat and the code-generation process was smooth. The only issue I faced occurred while test-viewing the app in Expo Go Android app. There was an exception during launch and it did not come out as expected. The preview and code IDE support in browser is simplified and useful.

Proud to have brought this idea into reality with the help of Bolt. The unified platform with intuitive interface and useful resources makes it a delight to use!
