Inspiration
We do not like to see people suffer from Parkinson's Disease and we decided to build something to improve their quality of life in spite of the accompanying Freezing of Gait episodes.
What it does
Our Project predicts when Freezing of Gait is about to happen via Monitoring the user's Heart, and Begins performing visual stimulation with a stoplight LED. It also responds to the resulting tremors when an episode begins, and provides additional audible stimulation to help them recover.
How we built it
It is constructed with a PPG-like sensor, Vibration sensor, Stoplight LED, and Buzzer unit, as well as an Arduino Mega R3 Board.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were proud to implement an adequate Sequence of Signal processing operations for this project to function properly.
What's next for Gait Melter
Gait melter can downsize to more compact Hardware such that it is far more portable.
