Inspiration

After participating and be awarded with the first place in the onboarding track for developers on the NEAR Social Hackathon given me the confidence and motivation to participate in more hackathons.

Additionally, even though I have not participated in a DeFi-related hackathon before, I have experience building DeFi applications. Participating in THE SUSHI X ETHDUBAI 2023 could provide me with an opportunity to showcase my skills and knowledge in the DeFi space and BOS, as well as learn from other experts in the field.

What it does

The decentralized frontend component is deployed to the NEAR mainnet and interacts with Gains Network on the Arbitrum One mainnet, allowing users to stake GNS and receive DAI rewards while staking. The user can connect to the component with a wallet and make a transaction on the Arbitrum mainnet.

How we built it

I build it by implementing a decentralised front end on top of the BOS https://bos.gg/#/

Challenges we ran into

The Arbitrum network has been facing timeout errors. Storage limitations to store apps on BOS forced us to split the app into small components.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of having a live working frontend in a short time, fully on-chain, and interacting with the Arbitrum L2. We also take pride in keeping the composability mindset that BOS provides.

What we learned

I learned about the Gains Network, a decentralized leveraged trading platform and how easy was to interact with their smart contracts.

What's next for Gains Network Staking on Arbitrum

Improve UI and including more features, such as trading on long and short.
