Inspiration
Inspired by Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy and Pou; we wanted something that bridges the gap between communicating and looking after your botanical friend.
What it does
Project Gaia enables you to communicate--quite literally--with your botanical friend! It is an open-source loT system and mobile app that anthropomorphizes your plants, allowing you to interact with your greenery through an Al-powered interface. Get to know your plant more; select personalities and chat with your green buddy!
The system aggregates telemetry from the Gaia Device (hardware sensors) and processes it using Gemini 3; this project isn't just gathering raw data from sensors and displaying them, it compares real-time environmental data against the specific biological needs of your plant and determine the overall health of your plant buddy!
How we built it
With the use of ESP32 to process inputs from sensors, plant stats (e.g. soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and sunlight) are collected and transmitted to the Flutter app where it is processed, calibrated, and shown to the users.
