Inspiration: Pizza and junk food provided by Rowdy Hacks.

What it does: G.Y.I.B. is an application that will you determine how your BMI compares to the national averages, as well as help you in your attempt to reach your ideal body figure. It provides a month to month prediction of the user's transformation through the values that they input.

How we built it: We coded it from scratch using Java. The character models were hand-drawn by our graphic designer and implemented using Java Applet.

Challenges we ran into: Deciding what language to use and how to approach creating the app. Learning to implement Applet and use it to instantiate graphics from JPEG and PNG files.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: Creating the artwork and concept from scratch. Completion of the project in general. Attending our first Hackathon!

What we learned: How to find the right tools to implement in our design. Problem solving aspects of graphics.

What's next for G.Y.I.B: Increasing the accuracy of the application through a greater variety of body types. Polishing artwork.
