Inspiration

We never had this device growing up, where it is like a karaoke machine. We have seen a song player, but now a melody player. We believe it will help children learn songs without reading lyrics, and it is fun with the LED lights.

What it does

It plays a bunch of nursery rhymes and the lights sync with the beat. It is fun with the lights off, and it displays the current song playing.

How we built it

We built it with two Arduino UNO kits, and we used libraries to be able to have sound and display.

Challenges we ran into

We don't know anything about hardware before yesterday, and we had to learn everything. We didn't even know what a breadboard was.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we made something because we thought we would have nothing to turn in. We kept trying various projects and kept trying to improve our project.

What we learned

We learned what Arduino is and how to use it, we learned how to work in a team and in a time crunch. It is our first hackathon!!

What's next for G.U.P.P.Y

Our team will go to the next hackathon and make a better project :)
