Inspiration
We are huge gamers. Most of the time, we were always looking to trade our gaming NFTs. We found some telegram and discord channels that facilitated this, but there was always the risk of getting scammed. And, current marketplaces do not focus on the authenticity and attributes of game assets which makes it harder to make a legit purchase. So we thought why not build what we can use, and at the same provide equal opportunity for all?
Our vision for 𝐅𝐲𝐫𝐞𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 is to revolutionise the gaming industry by providing a secure and transparent marketplace that empowers gamers, and game developers, We envision a future where web3 gamers can confidently transact and be rewarded for their efforts in a trusted manner.
What it does do?
𝐅𝐲𝐫𝐞𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 : A Dynamic NFT rental marketplace for web3 games powered by Zk-Proof Technology On Fyreland, buyers and sellers can verify in-depth attributes of their gaming assets without revealing any private data. We made sure that when you transact here, the character's attributes are always securely transferred and verified, reducing the risk of unauthorised access and potential loss. By leveraging zero-knowledge-proof technology, we have made this highly trustable and scalable, reducing financial losses due to scams.
Gamers can generate income without playing now! We believe in equal opportunities for all which paved the lending feature in Fyreland.
𝐅𝐲𝐫𝐞𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝 also empowers the gaming ecosystem by helping gamers generate income through lending game assets instead of buying them. Our platform also unlocks an untapped secondary market around in-game assets where both the game developers and gamers generate profit through an open, transparent, and decentralized revenue-sharing model on every transaction done in an in-game asset on the platform.
How we built it
We have used Solidity for writing smart contracts. Chainlink automation(chainLink keepers) for dynamic NFTs. Chainlink automation Next.js as our frontend framework . Zk-Snarks and circom for implementing zero-knowledge proof circuits. Implemented IPFS as decentralised storage for the nfts. Tailwind css for making our user interface better and more attractive ;
Challenges we ran into
It was initially difficult to implement chainlink external adapters and chainlink data feeds to fetch off-chain game data, partially as it was our first few efforts doing this. ZK-proof implementation was slightly tough but we are relatively pro now.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building Fyreland.
What we learned
Chainlink keepers and how they work. Our conclusion here, is that they are super cool and useful! Learned how we could use them to fetch off-chain data, which opens up various opportunities for innovation in the gaming and sports space. And most importantly, we learnt how to have fun while competing and completing this mission!
What's next for Fyreland
- Reputation and financial credit scoring based on transactions, lending [Fyreland ID]
- Multi-chain compatibility on Fyreland
