Our Inspiration:
We have often times found ourselves wondering how to do the most basic things in finance: How to get a credit card? How to get a loan? How to invest? The truth is there isn't enough education in place for financial literacy, and a large part of the population suffers and misses countless opportunities due to the negative effects of financial literacy.
What it does?
Fynn is a personalize chatbot who serves as your helpful financial advisor. You can securely link your banking accounts, credit information, income, and MORE with Fynn. We emphasize security and ensure you're data is always safely stored and encrypted, along with the help of our reputable third party integrations. Using all this Fynn can give you tailored advice for everything from learning to save during summer jobs, to financing various purchases and building a strategy to save for retirement.
How we built it
We used React and Node.js to build our Landing, Login/Signup, Creation Forms, and Chat UI pages. We integrated various Firebase and Plaid products to handle user authentication, secure financial data submission and handling, general storage, etc. Our backend(built in python) features a prompt engineering system which leverages the Open AI api along with various Data Collection methods to offer hyper personalized and financial advice for the user.
Challenges we ran into
Developing the UI was new for us so it was challenging at times.
