🚀 FutureSelf - A Back to the Future-inspired Journey

Imagine being able to send your future self a message of encouragement, goals, or advice. Inspired by Back to the Future, FutureSelf combines time travel vibes with personal growth. It’s a journey to empower users with AI-driven motivation to visualize their ambitions.

📜 What it does

FutureSelf lets users:

  • 📬 Send Letters to Their Future Selves – set delivery dates to receive messages at just the right moments.
  • 🎯 Track and Set Goals – with AI-driven tips to stay motivated.
  • 🔍 Receive Insights – personalized AI suggestions based on individual goals to make progress more achievable.

🛠️ How we built it

Built with:

  • ⚛️ React.js and TailwindCSS for a polished UI.
  • ✉️ Node.js to manage scheduled emails.
  • 🤖 AI-powered by Groq to provide personalized suggestions and motivation.

⚔️ Challenges we ran into

  • 👥 Small team of 2 – with a small group we must balance the goal and assign tasks efficiently.
  • ⏰ 24-hour limit – time is limited, require brainstorming and building a functional app in a single day.
  • 💡 AI Integration – learning and integrating AI features in the app was a first for both of us.

🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • ⏳ Finished the project on time with a polished UI.
  • 🔐 Successfully implemented the login and authentication features.
  • ✨ Created a user-friendly interface that enhances the experience.

📘 What we learned

  • Frontend: Mastered Supabase to quickly build and manage our prototype.
  • Backend: Learned EmailJS for automated email delivery and explored Groq - AI integration within a web project.
