Inspiration
Choosing a career path after Class 10 or 12 can feel overwhelming for students and parents alike. We wanted to create a tool that transforms confusion into clarity a digital compass that guides users through their options in an engaging and intuitive way. Inspired by the lack of accessible, interactive platforms for Indian students to visualize their future, we designed FuturePath Finder to make stream selection and career exploration a personalized and inspiring journey.
What it does
FuturePath Finder is an AI-inspired, interactive web platform that helps students explore career paths after Class 10 and Class 12. It lets users: Choose their academic level (10th/12th) Explore streams like Science, Commerce, Arts, or Vocational Dive into career branches using a visual roadmap View detailed info on subjects, durations, skills, salaries, and growth Get personalized suggestions based on their interests (e.g., "I love Math", "I'm creative") Use smart filters (high-paying, short-term, abroad, low-cost options) Discover real-world success stories, common misconceptions, and more
How we built it
Frontend: React with Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive design Animations: GSAP and Framer Motion for scroll-triggered roadmap effects Data tructure: JSON-based roadmap data with modular node definitions UI Components: Tabs, carousels, interactive cards, hover effects AI Simulation Logic: Keyword-based suggestion engine to simulate AI behavior Design: Pastel color palette, soft gradients, rounded UI inspired by mobile-first UX Content: Researched stream and career data from educational portals, government resources, and expert blogs
Challenges we ran into
Structuring complex roadmap data in a way that scales visually and logically Designing an intuitive UI that works on both mobile and desktop Keeping the platform lightweight despite visual animations Making non-AI filters and suggestions feel intelligent and personalized Ensuring clarity and simplicity for teenage users while still being informative for parents

Integrate real AI to generate stream suggestions based on quiz or interest input Add video explainers and mentor interviews for each stream Offer user accounts to save preferences and create custom roadmaps Build a backend dashboard for career counselors to guide students in real-time Partner with schools and NGOs to make the platform widely accessible Localize the platform in multiple Indian languages for broader reach
