Inspiration

Blockchain course @ TUM, doing good for social cause, Nudge: Wie man kluge Entscheidungen anstößt (Book),

What it does

It motivates (intrinsically and extrinsically) people to behave in a climate-friendly manner. It democratizes climate budgets and creates a leverage for the government.

How we built it

We use an ERC20 token on the Ethereum blockchain. Our dApp was developed with the help of React and connected to the blockchain with Web3.

Challenges we ran into

Team work coordination due to corona. Too many ideas for too little time. Fitting the whole concept into a 2 min video.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Working token in a test net. Creating a nice prototype and video.

What we learned

How to coordinate a project in a short period of time. How many nature preserving and climate saving projects already exist.

What's next for Climate Token

Changing to a more cost- and energy efficient blockchain.
