The Inspiration
The project started with a simple and universal question:
“What will happen to me next year?”
Prediction games are popular because they mix curiosity, humor, and surprise.
I wanted to create a light, shareable AR experience that feels fun, not serious—something users can try with friends and laugh about.
Building the Experience
The Lens was built as a physics-based mini game where the final outcome reveals a random future prediction.
Each result combines a short sentence with an emoji to make the message instantly clear and expressive.
The focus was on keeping the experience fast, intuitive, and replayable.
Challenges Faced
One challenge was balancing positive and negative predictions without making anything too extreme or uncomfortable.
Another challenge was keeping the logic simple while ensuring smooth physics interactions and clean UI feedback.
What I Learned
- How to design randomized outcomes that still feel meaningful
- How small details (emoji, timing, motion) strongly affect user experience
- How to optimize logic and assets for smooth performance in Lens Studio
Built With
- api
- javascript
